Everyone loves a beautiful smile

I absolutely loved this woman’s smile. We were out in one of the rural villages of Haiti one afternoon helping with a food distribution and while I was wandering and taking pictures of the beautiful scenery, this woman was interested in what I taking pictures of. I showed her a few of the pictures and her face lit up with this same smile and I asked if I could take a picture of her; she smiled and nodded her head. When I showed her the picture of herself, she lit up once again.

I remember that most Haitians don’t have their picture taken often and less often get to see the pictures that are taken of them. It was a gift for me to see this woman’s face light up in seeing her smile on my camera. I love taking pictures but I love sharing them even more for this very reason.

bridal shower bouquet (Dec 4th)

Is this amazing or what?
This is my lovely roomie who is getting hitched in February.
This is her amazing bridal shower bouquet made by Mel (craft bouquet maker extraordinaire).
I love the bouquet and Karyn's face.
Wedding? Game. On.

Goofy pics are my fave (Nov 19th)

Boehms (Nov 18th)

love (Nov 17th)

Connie and Jeff
They are amazing parents and leaders.
I had the privilege of working with Connie back in April on our relief trip to Haiti.
She is a gifted teacher and leader and a huge blessing to our team.
Her husband Jeff works for Children of the Nations, whom I love and have worked with several times over the years.
I was able to take some shots of their family a few weeks ago.
Sadly it was a frigid cold day, but everyone did their best to pretend they were warm.
This shot was blurry (obviously) but I like it more that way.

Hope. (Oct 2nd)

Hands down, my favorite image from the trip.

Joy in the ordinary (Oct 1st)

Peton (Sept 30th)

Peton was one of the guards on the compound where we were staying. He would often walk over to our place and sit on the porch talking with us in French. I may have caught one out of four words he said.. What a sweet sweet man.
And he had awesome toe socks with lips on them that he wore with his flip flops, now THAT is style, my friends.

Love that hair (Sept 29th)

I absolutely love her hair.
This girl was precious and a bit of a mischievous one, too.

Cutie (Sept 28th)

Thomas (Sept 27th)

Our translator at Camp Hope.
He was so good to us and an amazing translator and also so stylish!
