St. Johns (Aug 25th)

note to self: if you apply chapstick before a late evening bike ride, hoards of bugs will stick to your lips. GROSS.

A Sweet Sweet Story

Now, a brief interlude in which I show you a video that will tug at your heartstrings. One of the many reasons why I love old people; they have the best stories.

Creepy Personified (Aug 24th)

Just testing some wedding photo booth props.

VW Bus (Aug 23rd)

driving to weddings (Aug 22nd)

I drove up to Snohomish on Sunday with my good buddy Mel for my friend Natalie and Kenny's wedding. It was beautiful. I've got a few more pics but still need to sift through 'em.

Easy Street Records (Aug 21st)

One of my favorite places in Seattle.

From the Ferry (Aug 20th)

That's my Island (Aug 19th)

Scavenger Hunts (Aug 18th)

Scavenger hunts are hilarious and silly. When else do we run around the city frantically in search of a parking stub or something compostable and in desperate need to take a picture on the 3rd floor of a building? I like them because they invite questions from people wondering what on earth is going on. We had one for home community last week. I'm happy to say that our group came in dead last. haha. I guess that's what happens when you match two not at all competitive personalities with a somewhat competitive personality.
Here's just one of the many hold out photos from the night.

Mustache parties (Aug 17th)

I believe these have been popular for a few years now. It's definitely silly.
A chance for you to see what all your friends would look like as creepers.
Bethany colored her own mustache. She still looks pretty though.
It's takes a special person to wear a mustache and not look creepy.

laughter (Aug 16th)

I love hearing people laugh. It's one of the best sounds in the entire world.

Charlotte (Aug 15th)

The flower girl for the future Mrs. Wright

I love old books (Aug 14th)

Sweet Tooth (Aug 13th)

My sweet tooth is here to stay.

Serious Face (Aug 12th)

So we were getting ready to leave for the airport and just snapping pictures at the bar. I took a "serious face" photo of everyone when Angie says, "Shannon, we need to take a serious face picture of you." After laughing and gaining my composure because even the idea of making a serious face makes me laugh, she snapped this one. All I have to say is that I gave it all I have. That's as good as it gets folks.

Mani/Pedi anyone? (Aug 11th)

I have only have two manicures ever. There fun, but not something would put my money towards. However, when they are a lovely gift from a bride, I'll take it :)

view from the suite (Aug 10th)

I got to stay with Sara in the honeymoon suite for a couple nights before the wedding, and it was seriously jaw-dropping gorgeous.
I woke up in a sleepy stupor around sunrise, took these pictures from the balcony and then went back to bed.

love these ladies (Aug 9th)

Since most of the pictures taken during this evening (the bachelorette) are too scandalous, I'll post one of my favorites with a couple of my favorite ladies who I don't see nearly enough of, Kimmy and Angie!

Lovebirds aka The MacDonalds (Aug 8th)

Ultimate attire (Aug 7th)

Bride vs. Groom Ultimate game and these two picked some interesting game gear to sport.
Awesome, nonetheless.

Maunawili Falls (Aug 5th)

Keli and her boyfriend Nyles were awesome and took me out for a hike on a free day that I had. We hiked through some serious mud to get to Maunawili Falls where they jumped off big cliffs and into the water and I waded around taking pictures of them.
It was a blast tromping around on an adventure with them.

Pearl Harbor and Rainbows (Aug 4th)

Sara and I stayed with her grandparents the first couple nights in there cute little house that overlooks Pearl Harbor. Talk about an amazing view!
And that there on the bottom. That is the first rainbow I saw.
I probably saw 857 rainbows over the week, which is probably why Sara laughed and refused to pull over when I said, "A RAINBOW! Sara slow down I have to take a picture."

LOST (Aug 3rd)

My best friend got married at Kualoa Ranch on Oahu this past week and we went to scope out the site earlier in the week. This is when I learned that this is where Jurassic Park, Hawaii Five O and LOST were filmed. WHAT?! I was giddy to say the least. We didn't have time to take the whole tour but when I looked at those cliffs I could think of nothing but LOST and when I was hiking in there later in the week I kept thinking a raptor might jump out at any moment.
So awesome.

The Future Mr. and Mrs. Wright (Aug 2nd)

So stinkin' excited for these two to embark on the adventure of marriage and Chicago and medical practice.
And what better name than Mr. and Mrs. Wright, right?!
love it.
